Jailen is a software developer who built SafeBlox after seeing firsthand how difficult it was for parents to find clear, trustworthy information about Roblox game safety. What started as a personal research project became a tool used by thousands of families across the country. SafeBlox is independently operated — no investors, no ads, no agenda.
The Problem
88 million kids log into Roblox every single day. But when parents try to find out if a specific game is safe for their child, they hit a wall. Roblox's own safety ratings are vague. Privacy policies are written for lawyers. Community forums are full of conflicting opinions.
The result? Parents either ban Roblox entirely — cutting their kids off from something their friends and cousins all enjoy — or they let them play with no real idea of what they're getting into. Neither option is good enough.
Meanwhile, the stakes keep rising. State attorneys general are suing Roblox for failing to protect children. COPPA 2.0 goes into effect April 2026. A major verification vendor exposed over 2,000 files including sensitive user data. Parents need better information — and they need it now.
Our Mission
SafeBlox translates the complexity of platform safety, privacy law, and game mechanics into plain-English answers that actually matter to parents. We don't tell you whether Roblox is safe. We tell you whether the specific game your child is playing is safe — and exactly what you can do about it.
What We Stand For
-
Transparency firstEvery rating is backed by documented evidence. Our full methodology is published and open for scrutiny. If a journalist or researcher wants to verify our work, they can.
-
Completely independentSafeBlox receives no payment from Roblox, any game developer, or any advertiser. We have no financial incentive to rate any game better or worse than it deserves.
-
Plain English, alwaysNo lawyer-speak. No tech jargon. Parents are busy — we give them the information they need in the time they have.
-
Kept up to dateRoblox games change constantly. We revisit ratings regularly and update them when a game's risk profile shifts.
-
Privacy by designWe don't ask for your child's name, account, or any personal information. We never will.
